Wicca For Beginners

This course is a guided trip through the book, "Wicca for Beginners" by Thea Sabin.  When you are done with this course, if you put the effort into it, you will know the basics of Wicca.  This course is offered free of charge by High Priestess Peace Whitehorse as a service to the Wiccan/Pagan community.

 

The work will mainly be done on your own, and I will be available to help you.  I will supply a set of questions to answer for each chapter via email.  The student will answer the questions and email the responses back to me.  I will review and comment on the responses and send them back to the student.  

 

The student will need to obtain the text "Wicca for Beginners" by Thea Sabin, available on Amazon.  

 

You will do energy exercises, visualizations and learn how to ground and shield.  You will do trance work and meditation.  You will learn to cast a circle and learn about the four quarters/directions/elements.  You will learn about altars and tools, the Wiccan holidays and the Wheel of the Year.  You will learn to write a ritual, and about spells and magick.  You will write about all of this, and you will learn how to make it all your own.

 

There are 12 chapters, and a good pace is a chapter a week, although this is very definitely an "at your own pace" course.  The course starts out with very easy questions that get progressively more complex as the course goes along.   In that way, those who have not studied in a while can gradually ramp up their study skills.

 

When courses are offered free of charge, there is always the danger that the student will not take the course seriously.  Remember, you will get out of this course exactly what you put into it.  Since there is no cost for the course, the only energy transfer from student to teacher is the effort the student puts into it.  Energy transfer from student to teacher is very important.  That is because nothing is really free in the Universe, everything requires energy of some type.
